It All Belongs to You

Lyrics

It All Belongs to You Christian Song

It All Belongs to You

Verse 1
You formed the earth and shaped the seas
Every star bows at Your feet
All I hold was first Your own
Nothing here belongs to me

Chorus
It all belongs to You, Lord
You cause the drought, You send the rain
What You give, You can take
I will trust You all the same

Verse 2
Fix my eyes on things above
Teach me not to close my hands
Break my fear of letting go
Set my heart on what will last

Bridge
You are good beyond my sight
Your will stands through loss and gain
My life is safe in Your hands
Even when You rearrange

Scripture Focus

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world and all who live in it.”
— Psalm 24:1 (CSB)

There’s something deeply freeing about recognizing what already belongs to God.

This song came from a place of surrender, not despair. It’s a confession of truth. Every breath, every blessing, every season of abundance and every moment of loss was never truly ours to begin with. It all belongs to Him.

Scripture consistently reminds us that God is not only the Creator, but the Owner. We are stewards, not holders. That reality can feel uncomfortable at first, especially when we’re walking through uncertainty or facing loss. But it’s also where peace begins.

When we cling too tightly to what God has given, fear grows. We begin to protect instead of trust. But when our hands are open, faith deepens. We learn to say, “Lord, whatever You give, I receive with gratitude. Whatever You take, I will still trust You.”

This song doesn’t ignore pain or gloss over hardship. It acknowledges that God sends rain and allows drought. It affirms His sovereignty without questioning His goodness. And it invites the listener to loosen their grip on temporary things and fix their eyes on what lasts.

True worship isn’t only expressed in praise when things are going well. Sometimes it sounds like quiet trust. Sometimes it sounds like surrender. Sometimes it sounds like saying, “It all belongs to You, Lord… and I’m okay with that.”

Reflection

Are there areas of your life you’re holding too tightly?

What would it look like to trust God even when He gives or takes?

How does remembering God’s ownership change the way you view loss, provision, or uncertainty?

Closing Prayer

Father, help us remember that nothing we have is truly ours. Teach us to hold every blessing with open hands and every season with unwavering trust. When fear rises, anchor us in truth. When loss comes, remind us of Your faithfulness. Our lives are Yours. Our hope is in You. Amen.
