Even If…

Lyrics

Even If

Verse 1
I’ve seen You open every door I needed
I’ve watched You heal what I thought was defeated
But faith is more than what my eyes can see
So even in the waiting, Lord
You’re still good to me

Chorus
Even if You don’t move the mountain
Even if the storm keeps raging
You are God and You are faithful
You are good and You are able
Even when the answer is silence
Lord, I stand in full reliance
I will trust You, Lord, in the fire
Your perfect will is my heart’s desire

Verse 2
Like the three who stood before the fire burning
I feel the heat but still my hope is turning
Not to what I want, but who You are
My God, my strength, my refuge and my heart

Bridge
You are with me in the valley
You are faithful in the trial
You are sovereign in the fire
You are steady all the while
You are working in the waiting
You are holy when I rise
Your perfect will is my hope
It’s the anchor of my life

Scripture Focus

Daniel 3:17-18 (CSB)
“If the God we serve exists, then he can rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire, and he can rescue us from the power of you, the king. But even if he does not rescue us, we know that we will not serve your gods or worship the gold statue you set up.”

Habakkuk 3:17-18 (CSB)
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there is no fruit on the vines… yet I will celebrate in the Lord; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.”

Reflection

Even If is a confession of faith that does not depend on outcomes. It’s the kind of faith Scripture repeatedly commends…a trust that rests not in what God does, but in who God is.

We often testify easily when prayers are answered quickly or when deliverance comes the way we hoped. But mature faith is revealed in the waiting, in the silence, and in the fire. This song draws directly from the posture of the three Hebrew men in Daniel 3…men who trusted God’s power fully, yet submitted humbly to His will. Their declaration was not rooted in rescue, but in reverence.

This is the heart of Even If. It acknowledges that God is able to move mountains, calm storms, and heal what feels beyond repair. However, it also acknowledges that God’s faithfulness remains intact even when the mountain remains, the storm continues, or the answer is delayed. Faith is not weakened by unanswered questions; it is refined.

The song calls us to shift our focus from outcomes to obedience, from expectations to surrender. Trusting God “even if” means anchoring our hope in His sovereignty, knowing that His will is perfect…even when it stretches us, humbles us, or leads us through fire.

Closing Scripture & Prayer

Isaiah 43:2 (CSB)
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you… When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.”

Lord, teach us to trust You beyond outcomes. Help us to worship You not only for what You can do, but for who You are. Strengthen our faith in the waiting, steady our hearts in the fire, and anchor our hope in Your perfect will. May our lives declare, with confidence and humility, that You are faithful—even if. Amen.
