Heavenly Father,
I come before You humbly, fully aware of my need for Your strength and guidance. I desire to walk in obedience, but I know I cannot do that apart from You. Align my heart with Your will, and teach me to depend on Your grace rather than my own effort.
Your Word tells me to submit myself to You, to resist the devil, and to draw near to You, trusting that You will draw near to me (James 4:7-8). Lord, I surrender myself to You. Give me discernment and strength to resist temptation, and help me stay close to You, where I find safety and peace.
Your Word also reminds me that hiding Your truth in my heart guards me against sin (Psalm 119:11). Help me treasure Scripture, meditate on it daily, and allow it to shape my thoughts, desires, and decisions. Let Your Word be my anchor and my guide.
You have promised that no temptation I face is beyond what You can sustain me through, and that You always provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Help me recognize that way out and choose obedience when temptation comes. Strengthen me to endure, trusting in Your faithfulness.
Thank You for the free gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus (Romans 6:23). I know salvation is not earned, but given by grace. Teach me to live in righteousness and obedience as a response to that gift, no longer ruled by sin but alive to You.
Give me a heart that is quick to confess and willing to turn away from sin (Proverbs 28:13). Keep me humble and honest before You, confident in Your mercy and forgiveness.
And Lord, fulfill Your promise to continue transforming me. Give me a new heart and a new spirit. Remove anything in me that resists You, and shape my heart to be soft, responsive, and obedient to Your Word (Ezekiel 36:26).
I trust You to complete the work You have begun in me.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
